Blackjack!

Yep, i'm 21! Sept. 9th was by b-day, pretty cool right, 9-9-09? I thought so. So I worked all morning (lame I know) and then came home to Brandon and then after awhile he says hey lets go to dinner! (This was after he tried to tell me he was going to make a wonderful dinner out of the random things we had in the pantry aka. pasta, sauce, and chicken aka what we eat normally :) ) and he said it was a surprise where we were going and made me put a pillow case over my head in the car on the way there. I think people driving by were concerned.. and I couldn't tell where we were going so I started to think he hadn't thought of where to go so he was driving around trying to pick somewhere so then we ended up at Olive Garden after a way longer way to get there and 3 circles in the parking lot. He makes me keep the pillow case on as he leads me into the Garden and I can tell where we are from the smell but nope gotta keep it on so I stumble in only to have him whip it off and my friends were sitting there with balloons waiting for me and yelling "Surprise!". Now it is pretty hard to surprise me and I was SURPRISED. It was awesome :) I've never had a surprise party. I <3'd>

A few weekends before that Brandon's brother Michael, his girlfriend, and his son Braeden came into to town to visit and so we hung out with some of the Welling side (Grandma Charmaine, Brandon's uncle Andy, and his family Tori, Lane, and Abbey, and his dad Wendell) and went to the Park City alpine slide that was all metal and pretty fast, it was alpine-tastic!

Also recently we got a new member of the family, Bagheera! He is a Blue Bar Ambilobe Panther chameleon and his colors are gonna be amazing when he gets older! He's about 5 inches long right now but he already gets some cool colors.

This is Fabian, we got him on our honeymoon he's only about 3 months old but he's a Rudis chameleon and we love him, he's teeny only about 2 1/2 inches long but he's our baby.

Last weekend Brandon's mom Christy came to visit! Unfortunatley we had to take her to the hospital the first night but luckily it wasn't too bad and she recovered fine and we tried to make the best of the weekend and her time with us! On Sunday we went to Bridal Veil Falls and took some pics and had a little lunch, it was beautiful. Brandon and I like to go up there sometimes and just walk around because it's so nice, especially right now.We had a lot of fun with Momma Morris and hopefully next time we'll get to do even more fun stuff with her!
The weekend before my birthday my family came in town to celebrate! We went to lagoon on Saturday and I don't have the pics from that yet but we had so much fun, my sister Aubrey and her family came and Christy brought her friend Tayler. We had a blast, my favorite ride was Wicked I think it's called? It shoots you straight up and straight down again, it was fantastic. On Sunday we went to my cousin's house and had a big family dinner with my aunts and grandma and all the little kids. I'm proud to say my little cousins made me queen and I got to wear a crown :) I'll have pics from that later. This is my nephew Ethan. He enjoys his feet. Christy came up to college a few weeks ago! We went grocery shopping for her while my family was here and I'm pretty sure she's set for her whole college career... It was fun. It's cool having her up here even though I don't see her much because I'm working and we're in school all the time. She's having a blast.

Well I think that's the full update! I just procrastinate blogging and then have a ginormous post, but oh well you take what you can get! Also one of my best friend's Brittany Baxter got engaged a couple days ago! I'm excited for her! I need some married friends around here :) All is well in Welling-town!

Go Girl!

The VMAs (other than the Taylor Swift-Beyonce moment) were pretty dang uneventful but I just had to say how much I loved Nelly Furtado! That girl has the body to do any skanky dress she wants and instead she does this beautiful black dress, that happens to be totally modest! (You can't see but it goes to her knees) I think she looked gorgeous and sexy and I think this dress is an example to all those girls walkin around lookin like they forgot their pants because their "dresses" are so short, that you can be dang sexy and not show all your goodies to everyone! You go Nelly.

p.s.
What the crap was Kristen Calavallarrio (who knows) doing there?

Story Time

I know it's been awhile but bear with me here, I'm a newlywed, mother of 2 (chameleons), and now going to school (and working of course). Anyways here are some stories:

#1
I wanted to tell about my Finance teacher Professor Gardner. He is fascinating. And he is blind. On the first day of class he went through all 55 students and had us state our last name and he proceeded to give our full name and last 4 numbers of our student id's. So I said "Welling" and he said "Jacquelyn Valerie Welling 8310. Next..." I was VERY impressed. Every single person. Amazing. And you might wonder how a blind man teaches finance? Well not super well I have to admit but he knows his stuff. He even uses powerpoints, a little voice just tells him what is on them before he starts talking about them and he knows everything on that powerpoint from memory, it's pretty cool.

Story #2:
When we were visiting Brandon's family in Arizona this summer we were all out one day and we were talking to Brandon's nephew Braeden (I think he is 8) and someone mentioned drugs and Braeden said "I know what drugs are" and we were all kinda surprised so we said "Okay what are they?" and he said "Drugs make you poop and not be able to stop." And we said "YEP. Correct. Good job!" :) haha he is a funny little kid.
