It is Mother's Day and I feel the need to dedicate this post to the number one lady in my life, my Momma. She is pretty amazing. Selfless to a tee and always willing to sacrifice to help anyone in need, she is so giving. She takes care of EVERYONE. Our entire family would literally fall apart without her. She makes sure everyone is healthy and taking their vitamins. I went home for a couple days about a week ago and she walks up to me in the kitchen with a HANDFUL (i'm not exaggerating) of vitamins. I counted them. 10. And one of them was the size of my pinky (maybe exaggerating a little on that one). But I take them, begrudgingly, because I know it will make her happy and she just wants me to be healthy. Now for a little story on why my mom is so amazing. I fell ill a couple weeks ago, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was in bad shape, I was sniffling, my entire body hurt and I could barely walk, and I had a headache like nobodys business. My lymph (neck) glands were the size of kiwis, and the worst part was that my throught felt like I was downing a cactus whole every time I swallowed. So I of course called my Mom and complained and told her everything, and she starts telling me what to do, she became Dr. Mom. I tried to tell her as little as possible because I knew she would worry her bum off, but when I told her the doctor said I probably had mono what does she do? She hops in the car and shows up at my apartment, Nyquill, blankets, and extra duffel bag of vitamins in tow. She nursed me back to health, and it just goes to show you how much she cares and how awesome my Mom is. I think Mom's hold the world together. I don't know what I would do without mine. I call her at least once a day, and even though I'm not really living with her anymore, wherever she and my family are will always be my real home. My mom is fantastic, and I couldn't ask for a better one. And if you're reading this, I love you Mom! Happy Mother's Day everyone.
p.s.
I went and had dinner with my Aunt and Grandma and cousins and everyone today and can I just say what amazing mothers they all are as well!? All of my cousins are the cutest Moms/Moms to be in the world. Their kids are so lucky to have them. I am going to be going to them for so many tips when my time comes! My Grandma and Aunt are amazing too. My Grandma is possibly the funniest Grandma there is, and she has had such strength through her life. My Aunt is probably, nope actually she IS, the sweetest woman alive. And my sister? Barely a Mom and taking to it like a duck to water! She's already an awesome Mom. All of these women give me hope in life that I can one day be as great a Mother to my kids as they all are to theirs.
