We decided to go on a (probably) last camping trip of the summer on Sat. the 11th till Sunday in the Uintas! We just love it up there, it's seriously so beautiful. Here is the hike we did:
We camped at Butterfly Lake campground, and then on Sunday we hiked around the MANY lakes out there. We stopped at Butterfly, Ruth, Hayden, Jewel, Teal and Cutthroat (I might be missing some). We didn't have much luck fishing so it was mainly hiking, but it was a lot of fun. There are just so many lakes in those mountains it's ridiculous. And now lots of pictures.
The sweetest two older ladies took these for us, we were supposed to get the pretty background in there but we just got trees, whoops.
This is called Bald Mountain.
This is the background we were supposed to get in the first pic.
I recommend opening the panorama ones in another tab, they're sweet. (Thanks Samsung Galaxy S3)
Ignore that I look high, I just liked that I got both of us in this.
I almost can't eat a turkey sandwich without putting Doritos on it...
Jewel Lake
I know my hips look all bulky, I had my phone and various items in my waisband of my leggings, should have taken them out for the pic but instead I look lumpy, oh well.
Handsome handsome man.
Until next year Uintas...
