Birthday Time

Well I am officially 24! As of Sept. 9th (Sunday)...and we really stretched our birthday celebrations out this year! Well my amazing hubs did.
On Friday (the 7th) Brandon picked me up and we drove to West Jordan and I just had NO idea what we were doing, I couldn't figure it out, and then SURPRISE we're suddenly at the Dunford Bakery. Yes, the actual bakery and factory where they make all their amazing goodness, I'm a fat girl on the inside and have ALWAYS wanted to go, so I got my wish fulfilled!!

The entire area around the bakery smells like Cinnamon Bread! Don't worry we already found an apartment complex next door to move into.

As we were leaving Brandon told me to check my phone (cryptically) and maybe I got an email, so I checked my email and got this Nordstrom Rack coupon! For some reason it was sent from Brandon's email address but how nice of them to send me a coupon for a free top on my birthday, right?! ;)

So my stud of a husband waited for me while I shopped for my new top, and I ended up getting this blue number:

Which is funny because while we were shopping Brandon happened to pick it up because he didn't like it! I saw it and said "Oh I actually like it!" and tried it on and got it haha. He said he'll like it because I'll make it look good so I think I changed his mind.

Saturday we had my company's summer party at a park in Orem, it was a bit hectic because I am kind of the party planning committee and I tend to not delegate very well, so I had to go get the food, and take it to the park and make sure it all went well but it turned out great, the food was good and we had a good time hanging out with my co-workers. I work here in case you don't know.
After that we decided to go see Premium Rush, which was ACTION PACKED. Most of the times they're on bikes swerving through traffic, it was great. I feel like I would go see it again in a week because I could watch different parts of the movie and still be entertained...

Also I got my presents from my family!

My brand new PURPLE camera since my old one was prehistoric and finally quit working, a cutie shirt and necklace set and the BEST cards. I just love my family, they're so good to me.

Now here's a cute picture of our cat.

It's like she's telling me, "Ugh make him stop cuddling me please..."
But it's a facade, she's the cuddliest.

On Sunday we really just relaxed and had a nice calming day. I got to talk to a bunch of amazing people, my parents, sister, brother, grandma, old friends (Weston, shout out to you for keeping up the friendship since 7th grade!), and I got an amazing birthday song sang to me by my sister, brother in law and their kids, and my brother Ryan. It was mainly my nephew Ethan but it was the most precious song, I love em all.

This is our chameleon Kinga, yes he's pretty much always that blue (and varying shades of turquoise).

Kittykins napped like this all morning, she's such a diva.

We did go to Firehouse Subs because you get a free sub if you go on your birthday, and it was DELICIOUS. That place is just my favorite, I could go EVERY DAY.

We took a nice walk around our neighborhood, the weather was lovely.

There were a TON of white bass in the river, so we had to try fishing it a little bit.

He caught a brown trout and a white bass, (literally right by our apartment) the man knows his fishing.

On Tuesday we even KEPT GOING with the birthday activities (we planned on Monday, then Tuesday but things kept coming up!)
Brandon picked me up from work early and we went to hike the Timpanogos caves! We've been wanting to do it forever and he really wanted to take me for my birthday. So we did the hike up the mountain, it took about 45 minutes and was a little bit strenuous! (Well I'm pretty out of shape so that contributed...)

Inside the caves:

They call this the "heart" of Mt. Timpanogos because it kind of looks like a heart...

It was so amazing, I had no idea that was just in the mountain! I want to take everyone I know so they can see it.

Then when we got home Brandon sang Happy Birthday to me and gave me a DELICIOUS cupcake:

Target is doing really well with their baked goods these days!
Presents!

He got me earrings, a watercolor paint set, and ROLLERBLADES!!!!! Just what I asked for (I know, I very possibly might be 12, not 24.)
For some reason I just want to try watercolor painting lately. And I've wanted roller blades FOR EVER. I can't wait to get home and go skating... I don't know why, I just love roller blading.

So that concludes this years birthday activities, and I'm officially 24.
Not sure if I really feel 24 but so far it's been great!
