Kitty City

After we dropped Mike off at the airport on the 4th, since we were in the Salt Lake area we decided to go to Kitty City! If you haven't heard of this wonderful place, it's the Humane Society of Utah's cat shelter. It's seriously amazing. They have a bunch of apartments, each with 4-6 cats each. Each apartment has shelves the cats sit on and climb through, benches, scratching posts, and a TV. Each TV plays video and sounds of birds, rodents, and fish constantly. The cats actually WATCH this, we saw a few of them staring at it. I guess it stimulates them? It's the cutest. Outside each door they have little bios on each cat. You are free to walk around and go into each apartment and just play with the kitties. And they have I think 3 or 4 big rooms with huge shelving/cat tree things that have a bunch of cats in those, I think that's like their playground time. It was so great to see a shelter where the cats aren't in tiny little cages like most shelters. We must have pet seriously 100 cats... it was right up our alley.

I agree with this statement.

This is peanut. She almost came home with us, she was just meowing and loving on us. Somebody go adopt her (I'm almost positive she was free).

This one was seriously some kind of Siberian tiger mix, it was SOOOO pretty!!!!!!!

LOOK at this kitty's tail... it was kinked so weird! I think it was probably born like that but who knows. It was so sad, it was stuck like that! :(

Seriously FATTEST kitty I've ever seen, I wish I could have gotten a better picture, he was so playful but so fat!!!!

They did have 2 kittens! They were super playful.

This one had such a creamsicle coloring, loved him.

So Kitty City is amazing and anyone who loves cats should go, the kitties loved the attention! It was a little heartbreaking to leave, but I'm glad we got to go give them some love!
