FREE KITTENS

Who want's a kitten!?! We have 3, and that is currently 3 more than we can have right now! They turned 6 weeks old yesterday and are ready for new owners who will cuddle and play with them all they want! 

We have Cow Kitty, Ace, and Mixey. They each have the funnest personalities and love to play all the time! The question is, which one do YOU want?!

Jac's Peanut Butter Rice Crispies Bars

I was CRAVING my friend Jac's recipe for peanut butter rice crispy bars the other day, and finally made them a few days ago. She used to make these all the time when we were freshmen in college, it still reminds me of those good ol' days! Literally I didn't even think to take pictures, they got eaten so fast! Brandon was out of town, so I ate one (and when I say one I mean four), and then took them to work the next day. GONE by 10am. That's a success.

Butterscotch Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Bars

1 Cup Karo Syrup (I used the light kind and it worked fine)

1 Cup Sugar

Add those to a pan and boil, remove from heat and add 1 cup peanut butter and stir. Once it's mixed, add 6 cups Rice Crispies. Then put in your 9x13" baking pan.

Melt and mix together:

1 Cup Butterscotch chips

1 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips

Pour on top of Rice Crispies, then put in fridge to firm up. (Or eat them when it's all  gooey, ALSO very good.)

SO yummy ya'll, Jac is amazing. 

P.S. I got my ingredients at Win-co in the bulk section (butterscotch & chocolate chips, rice crispies, and sugar) and it is pretty cheap! I do want to bring a 1 cup measuring cup with me though to measure exactly what I need, because I got WAY too much crispies and chocolate. I could just put a plastic baggie over the measuring cup, and scoop it out that way so they don't get mad. That's what I'll do next time because I was SO off and now I have all these rice crispies and random amounts of chocolate chips that I don't know what do to with...)

Moment of Hilarity

Brandon was googling a local movie theater to find out showtimes and found this random site, and at the bottom the user reviews are the BEST THING WE'VE EVER SEEN! It's got to be just one guy who wrote them all and we were dying laughing at them. I'm not kidding they're SO GOOD. Please just go read them all IMMEDIATELY.

As of Late

First of all, I have a new niece! Her name is Lilee and she's precious.

She looks so skeptical of me in this pic!!

 

She was born on May 13th, Mother's Day. <3

 I've been sick the whoooole last week, so I only got to play with her a little bit, but there is much more cuddling to come little Lilee!

My mom and sister came in town to see her too, everyone grab a kitten!

I walked in the other day and Mixey was just passed out on his mama:

I guess drinking milk can be pretty exhausting sometimes.

Speaking of kittens, I've been up since 6 AM because of these little buggers!

They have learned to crawl on my bed skirt and mattress, so I wake up to what sounds like ripping sheets. They aren't actually ripping the sheets but it sounds like it. AND they learned to climb onto the comforter, so I wake up with a kitten in my face, which you'd think would be cute, but at 6 AM I was closer than I ever thought I would be to tossing him across the room. (Kidding, but still...)

Only about a week and a half till we can give them away! Any takers? They are seriously precious.

Seriously, it takes a long time. AND my rope was thicker than the bloggers so mine probably went faster than hers. About 1/5th of the way up I also learned the best way to do it so the glue doesn't show through, so I will probably be making more of these with different rope, and maybe try super glue so I don't have to wait so long for the hot glue to dry?

 

 It's definitely a cute DIY, but it took probably an hour start to finish. Worth it if you are just watching a movie or something...

AND it's Monday and it is my first day at work in like, a week (sinusitis/sore throat/chest congestion ALL WEEK)  so wish me luck getting back into it!

iPhone Weekend

Another iPhone photo life update:

 We got Brandon a new phone finally!

(not his actual phone)

 His was restarting itself every few minutes, and the speakers haven't worked for awhile, so it was time. It's the Samsung Galaxy S II, and guys it is SO COOL. It makes me want one so much! You can have live backgrounds, like a fish tank, a sky, whatever you want. AND it's so much more free than an iPhone, you can put whatever you want on it, it has a micro SD card slot so you can have so much stuff on it, the phone is just 100% customizable. I think when I have an upgrade available I want the Galaxy S III coming out in July, go look at the features, you won't believe it.

On Saturday I NEEDED a cupcake. You know sometimes you just NEED a cupcake? Well I did, so we went and got some at Cocoa Bean. I have to say, we've tried Sweet Tooth Fairy and looked at Cupcake Chic, and Cocoa Bean is seriously the best. Their cupcakes are bigger and better for the price. 

We went to the BYU duck pond and there were SO MANY BABY DUCKS! The pond was full of em. This mama & her babies were trying to figure out how to get in the water, and they ended up just tumbling over the rocks into the water! It was so sad but they seemed fine!

 We also went to Cabelas so Brandon could put his gift card from my parents to use (good call parents!) and saw this happy couple.

MATCHING IN EVERY WAY! Shirt, beards, hats, jeans, belts, shoes, cokes, they were the best!! I Was trying to act like I was texting but obviously this guy caught me in the act as he was looking right at me, whoops!

 I randomly found these cute Sass & Bide pale yellow skinny jeans yesterday, only $15!!!! They fit well too, what a happy surprise.

Just some kittens in my lap. They're SO alert now! When you turn on the light and walk into our room they just come awkwardly running out of the closet to explore! It's so much fun. Tomorrow they will be a month old!! (We call them Mixey, Cow Kitty, and Ace)

I got my ring cleaned and it was just so shiny in the sunlight. This is the 3 ways I wear it, mostly I just wear the bands because I type all day, but I LOVE it all 3 ways. Sometimes I just show my hand to Brandon and go "Look how pretty my ring is!!!!"

It's already Wednesday! Life is just flying by these days. 

There are some things going on I can't talk about yet, but we might be having some changes coming up soon in the lives of the Wellings! 

(NO it's not a baby so go ahead and stop thinking that! :) )

Kittens!

Here are some videos we took of the 2 week old kittens that we've been taking care of! The stray cat we sort of took in had them on April 12th, and they are PRECIOUS!!

These were taken on my iPhone and yeah they're  a little bit blurry, but when I upload them to YouTube they get way more blurry!! I need video editing tips if anyone has any...

Honeymoon Baby

I found this video of wittle Fabian when he was just a baby! 

He is the first chameleon we ever owned, we saw him at a pet shop on our honeymoon and HAD to take him home, he stole our hearts. (He was named after our Mexican van driver who drove us out to the Ensenada blowhole for 40 minutes with his gas tank on empty!) Sadly he passed away a few years ago, but he was SUCH a cutie!!
